Innlights presents its own videoprocessing

InnVision SCL and SCXL are new high-end controllers for LED screens. In addition to numerous InnScreen LED series, Innlights now offers its own developed solution for the control of LED panels.

InnVision is designed for the high-quality and brilliant rendering of Full-HD and UHD image signals on LED displays. In order to be able to display the features of the new controllers, all new InnScreen LED panels are already equipped with the new InnVision-i9 receiving cards. The InnVision controllers ensure exactly synchronized splicing and cascading in multi-controller installations with options for brightness/color adjustment as well as optimized gray levels at low brightness values. With these controllers, operations such as Picture in Picture or Scaling, Zoom and Splitting are being supported.

InnVision SCL is designed for efficient and flexible video processing up to 1,920 x 1,200 Px @ 60 Hz and displays video sources even up to a color depth of 12 bit. InnVision SCL processes the video data latency-free and supports HDCP 1.4. In version SCXL the controller is designed for 4k video and UHD HDR image processing and supports HDCP 2.2. InnVision SCXL processes video signals up to 3.840 x 2.160 Px @ 60 Hz. In width/height, a maximum of 8,192 pixels can be displayed. Furthermore the controller is suitable for 3D playback. Both broadcast standards, side-by-side horizontal and top-and-bottom, can be used.

Marius Kuschmierz, Head of Technical Project Management, describes the customer benefits of the new video processing: “In combination with our LED display products, the InnVision controllers offer the best possible image quality for all conceivable applications, both indoors and outdoors. And together with our auxiliary solutions such as Innlights RCA, the customer receives everything from one source for rental and permanent installation. At the same time Marius Kuschmierz already announces the next development: “Soon
we will bring an additional controller with InnVision SCXL Pro on the market. With four 10 G fiber optic outputs it provides great optimizations for the cable connection of LED screens”.

LED-boards from Innlights at Judo Grand Slam

InnScreen Y4 HE convinces with its outstanding image quality. From February 22 to 24, 2019, 9,000 fans in Düsseldorf visited the Judo Grand Slam in the ISS Dome. More than 600 athletes from almost 100 countries competed against each other. LED bands framed the judo mats of the competitions in an advertising effective way. Because of the typical short distances needed for this sport, high-resolution LED modules were used. Innlights Displaysolutions from Wuppertal provided the technology and support, as they did the year before at the premiere of the Judo Grand Slam in Düsseldorf.

The high-end InnScreen Y4 HE LED panel now in use offered the fans an optimal view and provided an excellent quality background for photo and TV coverage. In addition to a fine pixel pitch of only 4.81 mm for a sharp and high-resolution image, the Nationstar Black Face 1921 LED provides an excellent image contrast of 6,000 : 1. Thanks to the high “refresh rate” of 3,840 Hz, the video playback is smooth and jerk-free, which ensures perfect video quality for TV coverage. Innlights used its own in-house developed Innlights Remote Control Application to feed the LED strips. Kolja Birkenbach, Innlights IT/Media Technology: “We use our RCA not only for user-friendly LED and LCD fixed installations, but also for efficient feed at events. Here in the arena, we use it to play back several LED strips with a total length of around 50 metres”.

In addition to showing advertising image content, the bands were used as score boards. For this purpose, the LED bands displayed the competition data edited by the judges directly on the corresponding judo mats. Thus, the spectators not only saw the advertising messages of the LED-bands, but also had all information about the competition directly in their field of view at all times.

The joint stand was planned and organized by FAIR EVENTS 10.0 for the marketing cooperation „Wow Wuppertal”. Innlights, also from Wuppertal, supplied the InnScreen C2 LED displays including the Innlights Remote Control App for the feeds of the four pages on the high-resolution video cube. Hartmut Vogel, Managing Director of FAIR EVENTS 10.0, commented: „The Innlights RCA fitted perfectly into our trade fair concept. Each partner on the stand was able to individually and interactively integrate their desired content without any technical assistance, either by mobile phone or tablet.” Innlights’ LED technology not only demonstrated the performance of its latest version of the Remote Control App, but also the prove the outstanding image quality of InnScreen C2. Thomas Klem, Innlights Managing Director, said: „C2 is a high-end indoor LED product with a small pixel pitch of just 2.84mm, working with Innlights’ new 2D and 3D processing. As a single batch, Innlights has a storage volume of 500 square meters of C2.”

InnScreen S2 enables Visual Digitization at Stadionwelt

As part of a second cooperation, Innlights Displaysolutions presented another very up-to-date and high-resolution LED panel with InnScreen S2 at the Stadionwelt stand in Hall 5, Booth B20. The advantages of the LED panel with its „Direct Wall Mounting” specification made it easy for visitors to convince themselves at the Stadionwelt stand. The InnScreen S-Series is mounted directly on the wall without the need for a rear triangle, with a thickness of only 42 mm. It is suitable for fixed installations, e.g. retail digital signage applications. Stadionwelt was also very satisfied. „For the first time we used a digitally feeded LED display here at BOE. We are happy about the great picture brilliance, the flexible playback of the pictures and the diverse forms of presentation”, says Carsten Ponsar from Stadionwelt. Media control systems such as the Innlights RCA are being used more and more frequently at trade fairs, because they are recorded and controlled with content in a user-friendly and cost-efficient manner via mobile phone or tablet. Thomas Klem summarizes: „More and more customers are convinced of the advantages of digital information and content, while being easy to use. This leads to an increasing spread of visual digitization in all areas of application.”

InnScreen A1 for TV-Studio

LED-highlight with three video backdrops in highest resolution. LED displays in TV studios must meet the highest requirements to ensure that the image quality in the camera signal is flawless. These include high image resolution, balanced color reproduction, coordinated image contrast, and a large, homogeneous viewing angle of the LED displays. The fact that InnScreen A 1.2 is an outstanding LED product for this area of application was recently demonstrated during the installation in the Düsseldorf Rheinstudios, which was planned and implemented by Innlights Displaysolutions. The task was to integrate three eight-square-meter UHD-resolution LED displays into the design of the studio backdrop. In addition to the best possible image properties, the focus was particularly on the structural design, since areas of the studio used directly behind the backdrop adjoin and a wired LED backdrop was out of the question in studio operation. All the required specifications were easily covered by InnScreen A 1.2. Thanks to the pixel pitch of just 1.25 mm, the three displays present in UHD resolution. The homogeneous overall image is ensured by the particularly dimensionally accurate LED panels, the exact technical installation, and the precise calibration. All LED panels are connected to each other with plug connections without cables and thus offer a perfect rear view. The LED technology is controlled by Novastar’s 4k LED controller R5, with a refresh rate of 3,840 Hz. This ensures the best possible video display for the studio cameras. With InnScreen A 1.2, the Rheinstudios now have a high-quality and operationally reliable LED display technology in permanent studio and broadcast operation, which fits perfectly into the studio design.

Digital Signage for Crazy Jump

Control with Innlights Remote Control App and Mobile Device. Modern sports and leisure parks are increasingly showing themselves as media experience spaces. With the possibilities of visual digitization, visitors are often offered a comprehensive information and entertainment program. So also in the new Crazy Jump in Wuppertal. The trampoline park on 5,000 square meters and with over 100 trampolines has recently been equipped with a comprehensive digital signage system from Innlights Displaysolutions. A large LED display in the foyer and twelve 55 “LCD displays provide the right information in the foyer, at the check-in counter, at the many different jump attractions and in the catering trade. For the LED screen Innlights InnScreen S3 was used, a very slim LED panel perfect for permanent installation. It has a thickness of only 42 mm and is mounted directly on the wall. For optimum operation, the LED panels are very energy-efficient and can be easily and quickly maintained from the front. Crazy Jump uses the Innlights Remote Control Application (RCA) to ensure that tariff options and prices, instructions and safety instructions, leap times and videos run on the desired displays at the right time. With their help, the staff of the trampoline park on site controls the media playback with time control and the media update itself if necessary. Operation via tablet PC is very user-friendly and requires no special knowledge. This ensures cost-efficient continuous operation of the digital signage system via Innlights RCA.

LED-Screen fixed installation Giga-Center

High-resolution LED display InnScreen J2 with RCA control. The Giga-Center in a prime location on the Hohenzollernring stands for pure Family Center entertainment. On five floors, visitors will find plenty of entertainment: from billiards and darts to electronic games such as online and VR games. The media equipment of the center is very modern. In April, Innlights Displaysolutions installed another high-resolution LED display on the ground floor in a prominent position after an impressive LED installation on the façade of the Giga-Center in 2014. Thomas Klem, Managing Director of Innlights reports: “Four years ago, we took over four-storey high-level LED display InnScreen X9 in operation, which is still in operation without errors. The task for the recently installed indoor LED display was solved with InnScreen J2 and our user-friendly control app RCA “. The J2 display has an HD resolution with a small pixel pitch of 2.9 mm and is recorded and controlled with the Innlights Remote Control Application. So the customer can not only update and adapt the content with the practical app from his smartphone, but also select different sources of feed, for example to feed TV programs. Optionally and as a future application, the integration of the LED wall is planned in the regular paid game range of the Giga-Center. For this purpose, the RCA control is extended by a customer-specific program module. Thomas Klem comments: “We presented the Innlights Remote Control Application at the beginning of the year at the Best of Events. We are pleased about the continued great interest and the many possible applications for the visual digitization of content “.

Architectural LED-screen

New Innlights S-Series available with pixel pitches 1.9 mm, 2.6 mm and 3.9 mm. For permanent LED installations in retail shops, conference rooms, clubs and foyers, the InnScreen S series – with a quite low installation depth of just 42 mm – is the perfect choice. Particularly interesting for retail applications: the LED panels can be adapted to the interior design and circulate inside and outside corners and are completely revisable from the front of the display. Due to the low structural strength of the LED panel, the loss of space is minimal. For perfect fitting, the 25 cm high S-Series LED panels are available in different widths of 50 cm, 75 cm and 100 cm. The refresh rate of up to 3.840 Hz ensures best video performance. The image is bright and very rich in contrast with a large viewing angle of 140°, vertically and horizontally. First installations with InnScreen S2 and S3 are already in daily use. For example, in a bank in Rabat, Morocco, a 14 square meter LED display with a 4k resolution in the customer center and a 7 meter wide LED display band in the foyer were recently put into operation. And since the 26th of April, a 28 sqm InnScreen S3-screen, with a native resolution of 4.544 x 384 pixels, lits the well-known Pacha Ibiza Club in Munich. The S-Series LED installations are fed via tablet PCs with the successful Innlights Remote Control Application (RCA). The Innlights S-series among others is an innovative product for the perfect visual digitization of the retail shop segment.
