LED-boards from Innlights at Judo Grand Slam

InnScreen Y4 HE convinces with its outstanding image quality. From February 22 to 24, 2019, 9,000 fans in Düsseldorf visited the Judo Grand Slam in the ISS Dome. More than 600 athletes from almost 100 countries competed against each other. LED bands framed the judo mats of the competitions in an advertising effective way. Because of the typical short distances needed for this sport, high-resolution LED modules were used. Innlights Displaysolutions from Wuppertal provided the technology and support, as they did the year before at the premiere of the Judo Grand Slam in Düsseldorf.

The high-end InnScreen Y4 HE LED panel now in use offered the fans an optimal view and provided an excellent quality background for photo and TV coverage. In addition to a fine pixel pitch of only 4.81 mm for a sharp and high-resolution image, the Nationstar Black Face 1921 LED provides an excellent image contrast of 6,000 : 1. Thanks to the high “refresh rate” of 3,840 Hz, the video playback is smooth and jerk-free, which ensures perfect video quality for TV coverage. Innlights used its own in-house developed Innlights Remote Control Application to feed the LED strips. Kolja Birkenbach, Innlights IT/Media Technology: “We use our RCA not only for user-friendly LED and LCD fixed installations, but also for efficient feed at events. Here in the arena, we use it to play back several LED strips with a total length of around 50 metres”.

In addition to showing advertising image content, the bands were used as score boards. For this purpose, the LED bands displayed the competition data edited by the judges directly on the corresponding judo mats. Thus, the spectators not only saw the advertising messages of the LED-bands, but also had all information about the competition directly in their field of view at all times.

Successful BOE participation for Innlights

Video Cube and Innlights RCA Remote Control App at „Wow Wuppertal”. Innlights Displaysolutions was exhibiting at booth C24 in hall 7 at this year’s Best of Events in Dortmund. The joint stand was planned and organized by FAIR EVENTS 10.0 for the marketing cooperation „Wow Wuppertal”. Innlights, also from Wuppertal, supplied the InnScreen C2 LED displays including the Innlights Remote Control App for the feeds of the four pages on the high-resolution video cube. Hartmut Vogel, Managing Director of FAIR EVENTS 10.0, commented: „The Innlights RCA fitted perfectly into our trade fair concept. Each partner on the stand was able to individually and interactively integrate their desired content without any technical assistance, either by mobile phone or tablet.” Innlights’ LED technology not only demonstrated the performance of its latest version of the Remote Control App, but also the prove the outstanding image quality of InnScreen C2. Thomas Klem, Innlights Managing Director, said: „C2 is a high-end indoor LED product with a small pixel pitch of just 2.84mm, working with Innlights’ new 2D and 3D processing. As a single batch, Innlights has a storage volume of 500 square meters of C2.”

InnScreen S2 enables Visual Digitization at Stadionwelt

As part of a second cooperation, Innlights Displaysolutions presented another very up-to-date and high-resolution LED panel with InnScreen S2 at the Stadionwelt stand in Hall 5, Booth B20. The advantages of the LED panel with its „Direct Wall Mounting” specification made it easy for visitors to convince themselves at the Stadionwelt stand. The InnScreen S-Series is mounted directly on the wall without the need for a rear triangle, with a thickness of only 42 mm. It is suitable for fixed installations, e.g. retail digital signage applications. Stadionwelt was also very satisfied. „For the first time we used a digitally feeded LED display here at BOE. We are happy about the great picture brilliance, the flexible playback of the pictures and the diverse forms of presentation”, says Carsten Ponsar from Stadionwelt. Media control systems such as the Innlights RCA are being used more and more frequently at trade fairs, because they are recorded and controlled with content in a user-friendly and cost-efficient manner via mobile phone or tablet. Thomas Klem summarizes: „More and more customers are convinced of the advantages of digital information and content, while being easy to use. This leads to an increasing spread of visual digitization in all areas of application.”

Creative LED setup in the glass hall

Innlights hardware for the presentation of the business award in Wuppertal. Since 2013, Wuppertal Marketing GmbH has been awarding the annual „Wuppertaler Wirtschaftspreis“. Innlights Displaysolutions was on behalf of the Stadtsparkasse Wuppertal and the organizer Wuppertal Marketing.

On 10th October Innlights was responsible for the media realization of the event in cooperation with the partners 6tant and EVS interactive. The three LED screens on the stage in the glass hall attracted attention with unusual image formats and graded picture edges. Kolja Birkenbach from Innlights on the special LED screens: „The extraordinary design should break viewing habits and create a dynamic image impression. This required the statics of the LED displays. Despite the complicated special design, the LED modules had to be precisely and accurately installed for a homogenous image impression.“ Visitors were greeted at the entrances with additional LED displays of the same level design.

Overall, the indoor and outdoor setup included around 80 square meters of LED screen. InnScreen C2 HE with its fine pixel pitch of 2.84 mm was used on the main stage. At the entrances there were LED displays in the mix of the InnScreen R3 and the InnScreen Q3 HE with graded designed displays. Both panels have an identical pixel pitch of 3.91 mm and showed suitable motifs in outstanding image qualities. In addition, Innlights was responsible for camera technology including a wireless camera as well as for live image transmission. The conclusion of Kolja Birkenbach about the highly acclaimed LED setup: ” With these unusual image formats, we demonstrated that our high-resolution and mechanically sophisticated InnScreen modules allow many variations in the design of individual image.”

LED perimeter system

Flexible indoor and outdoor system with high resolution. Innlights Displaysolutions recently introduced a new LED perimeter system. The technique is used in indoor sports events from basketball, handball and judo to outdoor use in football matches. Marius Kuschmierz, technical director at Innlights, explains: “The solution we developed allows the use of our leading event rental products, such as InnScreen R5, InnScreen M5, InnScreen C2 and C3 as LED perimeter technology.” InnScreen M5 is extremely robust for display and floor applications indoor and outdoor. The InnScreen C-series offers high resolution, which is particularly advantageous at typical viewing distances in halls. The use of the InnScreen R5 modules allowes quite fast construction, because of the panel size of 0.5 by 1 meter. For the Judo World Cup in late 2017 and the Judo Grand Slam in February 2018, the innovative LED perimeter was used by event technology service provider Thöne & Partner. Christoph Heidrich, Project Manager at Innlights: “With our innovative system, we offer our sports event customers alternative LED specifications for the high-quality presentation of sponsor information and advertising, depending on the purpose. For project business and dry hire leases, we now have recourse to various LED panels in high resolutions, each with up to 250 sqm. “

ADAC Supercross with Innlights

! 100 sqm LED-cube at the Westfalenhalle Dortmund. ADAC Supercross is an annual motorcycle highlight in the Westfalenhalle Dortmund. From January 12th on three days international qualification and final races took place in the motocross classes SX1 to SX4. In addition to the spectacular off-road course in the interior of the hall, a large video cube appeared prominently above the visitors. Each of its four sites featured live images from the shows, races, as well as graphic animations and sponsor logos.

The total size of the four screens, each measuring 6 x 4 meters, was around 100 square meters, installed and supplied by Innlights Displaysolutions. Innlights is a provider of professional LED technology for rental and sale. The InnScreen R5 LED product is ideal for large indoor applications. For example, the rectangular R5 panel has a dimension of 50 x 100 centimeters. This allows large-area LED displays to be installed quickly and precisely. Each side of the video cube thus consisted of only 12 x 4 LED panels. The four high-resolution displays delivered brilliant images with a brightness of 1,300 cd/m² in a wide viewing angle. Visitors saw the best possible video image of the race from every seat. Thomas Klem, Managing Director of Innlights Displaysolutions sums up the commitment of his team and the technology used: “We are now equipping the ADAC Supercross event for the fourth time in a row. This year we also created the graphic content for the intro and the sponsor advertising. Besides Dry Hire for LED technology, we also offer our customers services and pixel-perfect image production for LED displays of every dimension “.

Innlights RCA presented at BOE

User-friendly control for LED displays. At this year’s Best of Events in Dortmund, Innlights Displaysolutions presented a novel control for image and video programs on LED screens under the name Innlights Remote Control Application. The trade fair visitors were impressed by the easy handling and performance of the software solution at the joint booth of Innlights and the partners Saalbau GmbH from Frankfurt and Lleyendecker eventsolutions from Wuppertal on January 10th and 11th. Interactive and playful videos, pictures and a 360° VR presentation on a four-meter-wide curved LED display, InnScreen C3, and a LED floor application with InnScreen M5 Floor could be played. The different event locations of Saalbau were very lively and realistic. Marius Kuschmierz, technical director of Innlights comments: “We controlled all media, including the virtual reality application, with the help of our Remote Control App simply from a mobile phone. Innlights RCA works across platforms and is designed for mobile, tablet and laptop / PC.” Even the creation of program sequences or a timed playback with playlists can be handled without specific knowledge  of it via RCA. The program playback is documented in the system so that, for example, billboard advertisements can be recorded and displayed. Short-term customization options or program changes through simple media integration ensure maximum flexibility. Innlights RCA is not limited to the use at trade fairs and events. The system is also ideally suited for fixed installations and enables automatic, daily updated or event-related feeds. Marius Kuschmierz summarizes: “The system is suitable wherever flexible use and operation without the use of technicians, without the use of complex video technology and without knowledge of pixel dimensions, scaling processes, or similar LED displays is needed.”

Innlights expands rental park

LED display product InnScreen C3 now available. Innlights Displaysolutions as a supplier of professional LED technologies for trade fair, event and permanent installation extends its dry-hire portfolio. After the high-resolution Indoor LED Cabinet InnScreen Q3, InnScreen C3 is now also available in large numbers in the rental park.

With the small 3.91 mm Q3 pixel pitch, the C3 cabinet allows concave and convex curved LED displays for indoor use. The construction, whether flat or curved, is fast, simple and precise. Angulations  in 5° increments from 1° to 20° “convex curved” and 1° to 30° “concave curved” can be realized. Within a video wall plane and curved arrangements are freely combinable. With a large viewing angle of 140° vertically and horizontally, with a brightness of up to 1200 cd/m² and fast processing, InnScreen C3 offers high-quality images via black face LEDs. At the same time, the power consumption is very low with an average of 72 W per cabinet. InnScreen C3 is designed for rental use and very robustly manufactured on the basis of an aluminum CNC milled frame. The cabinets are equipped with a quick release system for tool-free installation. Marius Kuschmierz, CTO at Innlights, commented: “Our new cabinet is designed for the permanent assembly and dismantling at trade fairs and events. With its creative curving options, InnScreen C3 is an excellent addition to our rental portfolio. In addition, we are currently able to offer cross-rental investments for the quantitatively large product batch.”
